It may seem strange to find this quote on a Realtor’s® blog, much less to discover it is a pillar of the brokerage. What kind of business strategy is love? Where is the data to support the business case for love in the real estate industry? When my wife Joanna and I started out on this journey 10 years ago, we didn’t ask those questions.

I received my real estate license in 2007 after the door to a career in hockey had suddenly closed. Joanna and I didn’t have much, and, like many people starting out, we struggled. The first six months in real estate were the most difficult. With our first child on the way, there was a lot on the line so it was either sink or swim.

In a way that only trials can do, those hard times helped us define what our foundation was as people, and what we were passionate about. We were passionate about real estate – we still are. Since love is the cornerstone of our lives, we decided to make it the cornerstone of our business by giving each client all we had, always going FULL OUT® and putting our stamp on everything that we did.

We added services and improved them every year from home staging, to professional photography and video. The real estate service that we offered stood out, and soon enough more and more people were wanting to use The Faris Team. Our team developed into an amazing group of people from marketing and client care, to driven and passionate Sales Partners, which we often call, “Rock Star Agents.” With everyone focused on giving it their best, we were then able to take our service to the next level.

Without a doubt, the key to our success is based on our team’s core values: love, on fire, excellence, growth and innovation. These powerful words that line our office walls, are what drive our growth and passion. Our clients know that these are more than just words – they’re actions they see and feel, even after the deal is closed. Love is the first pillar of The Faris Team. Everyday, in ways both small and great, we strive to show love to one another, our community, and our clients.

Where is the business case for loving customers? I believe we are the business case. But don’t take our word for it – ask our clients.
