The leaves may have fallen from the trees, but Simcoe County’s November events continue to fall nothing short of memorable in the family fun department. Wondering what’s going on in Simcoe County this November?

When: November 2-4
Where: Barrie Molson Centre
What Is It: Experience and shop from over 140 of Ontario’s finest artisans all under one roof – a perfect way to shop local for the holidays!  Admission: $9.00 Adults / $7.00 Seniors (65+) / Children 12 and under with an adult “FREE”.

Orillia Kiwanis Mammoth Auction

When: November 3, 8:00 am
Where: ODAS Park, Orillia
What Is It: Celebrating its 39th year running, the Kiwanis Club of Orillia invites you to enjoy a pancake breakfast and massive auction sale. Both live and silent auctions will be held with proceeds supporting the Kiwanis Club programs and community projects. Doors open at 8:00 am, Live auction at 10:00 am. Admission: $10 Adults $5 Kids.

Ski & Board Swap & Sale

When: November 3 at 9:00 am
Where: Snow Valley, Minesing
What Is It: Noted as one of the area’s largest ski and snowboard swaps, this one-day open house event allows patrons of the sport to buy, sell and trade equipment. Be sure to arrive early to snag the best deals!

Sweetwater Film Festival

When: November 3, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm
Where: The Historic Gayety Theatre, Collingwood
What Is It: This season’s event showcases films focused on outdoor adventure and the enjoyment of being with nature. This entertaining night of community and storytelling is in support of the YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka with 100% of proceeds benefitting youth activities and encouraging outdoor involvement. Innisfil Studio Tour

Where: ideaLAB & Library, Innisfil
What Is It: Celebrating its 26th year running, the Innisfil Studio Tour showcases the works of 17 artists in nine different locations as well as a youth art show. This two-day event encourages artists to explore and expand their talents.

Lend Me a Tenor

When: November 8- 25
Where: South Simcoe Theatre, Cookstown
What Is It: Get lost in a madcap romp through the world of opera by the writer of SST’s 2015 production Fox on the Fairway. Starring an Italian Tenor who agrees to perform for a small opera company, this storyline sets supporting characters in a “tizzy” while taking the audience on an adventure they won’t forget. Tickets: $20.

Children’s Candlelight Parade

What Is It: The spirit of Christmas comes to life as downtown Orillia is lit up for the holidays! Led by the town crier, hundreds of children parade through downtown Orillia carrying electric candles and singing carols. This all leads to a ceremonial tree lighting with free hot chocolate and treats!

Santa Claus Express

Where: Tottenham
What Is It: All aboard! What could be more magical than a train ride with Santa? Hop aboard the South Simcoe Railway’s 1920s vintage coach. Santa will make his way through the train visiting with each boy and girl as his elves deliver a candy cane treat. Reserved tickets begin on November 1st.

Where: Wasaga Beach RecPlex
What Is It: Spend the day in a children’s wonderland at the RecPlex. Enjoy face painting, jumping castles, build a wooden structure, crafts and more! The Youth Centre Grill Team will be offering hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and candy floss for a small fee. Admission is free! Donations to the Wasaga Beach Food Bank are appreciated.
